The UIS platform can now support your favorite grow light. Compatibility has always been a vital factor to consider when selecting the proper equipment. With a multitude of brands and models to choose from, it can be a time-consuming process to select lights and fans that will complement your existing grow equipment. To simplify that search we proudly present three ways to adapt your lighting, offering unprecedented compatibility. No matter the brand, you can choose from a wide array of grow lights that can now be integrated into the UIS platform.

RJ11/12 Adapters

Our innovative adapter dongles successfully connect LED grow lights with RJ11/12 ports to the UIS platform. Once these RJ11/12 connectors link your grow light to a UIS port, these lights can be adjusted by our CONTROLLER 69 and 69 WiFi. This setup will also allow for intelligent programming and brightness adjustment via the AC Infinity app. Both dongles, Type-A and Type-B, will enable grow light control so choosing between the two comes down to your specific light’s sourcing standards.

Type-A & Type-B

The Type-A adapter works with lights that use PWM technology or follow 0-10V current sourcing standards. PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) is a method of voltage output control that results in greater energy efficiency. Type-B operates via resistor control, connecting to grow lights with resistor dimmers.

When deciding between the two RJ11/12 conversion cables, carefully review your light’s specs to confirm compatibility. Refer to its product listing, instruction manual, or its customer service department to learn its sourcing standard. Some lights that can connect to our UIS controller using Type-A include, but are not limited to, the Mars Hydro Series (2022 Models with self-branded drivers), Spider Farmer Series (2022 Models with self-branded drivers), Viparspectra KS Series, Phlizon PL and PRO Series, Vivosun VS Series, and HLG Series*. It is not compatible with previous Mars Hydro or Spider Farmer models using Moso/Meanwell Drivers.

Type-A is now available for purchase to start synchronizing your grow equipment today. Type-B is currently in development.

UIS Plug

Also introducing the UIS control plug, capable of not only integrating your grow light, but also any outlet device. This can serve as an alternative way to intelligently control your grow light with a simple plug-and-play action. It can accept three-pronged plugs to enable on/off control using your UIS controller's temperature and humidity triggers, timers, cycles, and schedules. In grow settings, you can plug in devices like humidifiers, dehumidifiers, AC units, and heaters to provide climate control as needed. To ensure compatibility, check that the outlet device that can automatically start running when it is plugged in into an outlet.
